Üçüncü lojistik firma depolarının işleyişi, yönetim aşamaları ve Türkiye uygulamalarının performansının araştırılması

Abstract

Bu çalışma Türkiye'deki üçüncü parti lojistik firmalarında gerçekleştirilen depolama operasyonlarının işleyişini ve yönetimini irdelemek ve değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bunun için önce çağdaş depolama operasyonlarının nasıl olması gerektiği literatüre araştırması ile derlenmiş daha sonra da saha çalışmasına geçilmiştir. Saha çalışması ile elde edilen bulgular literatürde önerilen en iyi uygulamalar (best practices) ile karşılaştırılarak Türkiye üçüncü parti Lojistik şirketlerinin depo operasyonlarının zayıf ve güçlü yönleri ortaya konmaya çalışılmış ve en sonunda da iyileştirme önerilerinde bulunulmuştur. Saha çalışması hem anket hem de yüz yüze görüşmeler şeklinde yürütülmüştür. Tezin bölümlerine ilişkin açıklamalar aşağıdadır. Giriş bölümünde; çalışmasının amacı, kapsamı, sınırları ve araştırmanın yönteminden genel olarak bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölümde; mal kabul başlığı altında, depoya giren ürünlerin karşılaştığı ilk aşama konusunda açıklamalar yapılmış, mal kabul işleminin etkinliği, malzeme akış ve kontrolü ile depolama sisteminin temel amaçlarından bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde; depolama operasyonlarının önemli aşamalarından yerleştirme işlemi konusundaki mantıksal teorik işleyiş anlatılmış, yerleştirme adımları ile yerleştirme planlarından bahsedilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde; depolama aşamaları, depolama istisnaları, ürün karakteristikleri, depolanacak ürün boyutları, ürün etiket bilgileri, ürün rotasyonları, yerleştirme stratejileri ve operasyon istisnai işlemlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Beşinci bölümde; toplama işlemleri, yöntemleri, sistemleri, türleri, araçları ve performans etkinliği ele alınarak ayrıntılı açıklamalar yapılmıştır. Altıncı bölümde; yükleme işlemi tanımlanmış, sevkiyat işlemleri, paketleme, çapraz sevkiyat, sevkiyat sıralama işlemleri, yükleme bölgeleri ve işlemleri ayrıntılı biçimde açıklanmıştır. Yedinci bölümde; müşteri tarafından iade edilen veya geri alım nedeniyle depoya dönen mallara uygulanan işlemler, iade nedenlerinin kayıtlarının nasıl yapılması gerektiği ve iade iş akışları görsel araçlar da kullanılarak belirtilmiştir. Sekizinci bölümde depo raf sistemleri, depoda kullanılan istif makineleri, rampalar, depolarda takip edilen kalite güvence sistemleri, iş sağlığı ve iş güvenliği sistemleri örnek uygulamalar verilerek anlatılmıştır. Teorik derleme sekizinci bölüm ile tamamlanmıştır. Uygulama çalışmasına geçiş olan dokuzuncu bölümde; Türkiye'de bulunan üçüncü parti lojistik firma depoları ile yapılan saha araştırma çalışması açıklanmıştır. Bölüm araştırma amacını, araştırmanın sınırlarını göstermekte, kimlerle anket ve yüz yüze görüşmeler yapıldığını açıklamakta, anket ve görüşme sonuçlarını göstermekte ve gelecek çalışmalar için ipuçları içermektedir. Tezin en önemli katkısı bu bölümün içeriğidir. Son bölümde ise yapılan anket sonucunun değerlendirilmesi bulunmaktadır.

This study is carried out to examine and evaluate the functioning and management of storage operations in third party logistics (3PL) firms in Turkey. For this, first the information about how the modern storage operations must be was compiled with literature research and then started field study. By comparing the findings which was obtained by the field study to the best practices recommended in literature, third party logistics companies in Turkey `s warehouse operations` strengths and weaknesses are tried to present and in the end, recommendations for improvement are made. The field study was carried out by surveys as well as face to face interviews. Instructions on parts of the thesis are the followings. In the introduction section, the purpose, content, and limits of study, and methods of research are generally stated. In the second section, under the title of the acceptance of goods, explanations about the first stage of products which entered the warehouse are made; the efficiency of a product acceptance process, material flow and control, and the main goals of the storage systems are stated. In the third section, theoretical logical operation about putaway process, one of the important sections of the storage operations, is explained, and lay out steps and the plans of lay out are stated. In the fourth section, storage stages, storage exceptions, characteristics of product, size of the products which will be stored, product label information, product rotation, lay out strategies and exceptional transactions of operations are stated. In the fifth section, by handling picking procedures, methods, systems, types, tools, and performance, detailed explanations are made. In the sixth section, the loading process is described, and shipment processing, packaging, cross-docking, shipment sorting processes, loading zones and processes are described in detail. In the seventh section, processes which apply to goods returned by customers or returned to warehouse due to repurchase, how the records of returning reasons must be done and rebate work flows are stated with using visual tools. In the eighth section, warehouse rack systems, stacking machines used in warehouse, ramps, quality assurance systems monitored in warehouses, work health and safety systems are explained by giving case studies. Theoretical review has been completed with the eighth section. In the ninth section which starts to application work, the field research work with third party logistics companies` warehouses in Turkey is stated. It shows the purpose of research, limits of research, the people who joined the surveys and face to face interviews, the results of the questionnaires and interviews and includes tips for future studies. The most important contribution of the thesis is the content of this section.
