Büyük kentlerdeki trafik yoğunluğu insanları bunaltmış ve ulaşımda yeni arayışları
gündeme getirmiştir. Dünyanın birçok bölgesinde olduğu gibi İstanbul'da da raylı sistem
ulaşımı, trafikte sıkışan ve bunalan kent halkı için bir umut ve önemli bir ulaşım
alternatifi oluşturmaktadır. Tezin ana konusu da 2013 yılı ortasında işletmeye alınmış
olan Kirazlı-Başakşehir-Olimpiyat Metro (M3) Hattının proje ve güncel performans
değerlerinin değerlendirilmesidir.
Tez akısı olarak da öncelikle İstanbul kent içi raylı sistemlerinin gelişimi üzerine
değerlendirmeler yapılarak genel bilgiler paylaşılacaktır. İstanbul kent içi raylı sistemler
olarak geçmişten günümüze nasıl gelindiği ve gelecekte planlanan çalışmaların neleri
kapsadığı, mevcut yapıya nasıl etkileri olacağı, M3 hattının güncel yolcu verileri ile
Fizibilite Etüdü değerleri mukayesesi yapılırken; M3 hattı ile entegre olan hatların
karşılıklı etkileşimleri incelenecektir.
Sonuç olarak elde edilen verilerin ve gelecekte planlanan entegre hatlara dair
çalışmaların üzerine değerlendirmeler yapılarak nasıl bir kent içi raylı sistemler
işletmesi olacağına dair ışık tutacak bir çalışma olması hedeflenmektedir.
People are overwhelmed by traffic congestion in major cities and this has led to new
approaches in transportation. As in many regions of the world in rail transportation in
Istanbul stuck in traffic and being overwhelmed by a hope for the people of the city and
