Coğrafi bilgi sistemleri (CBS) kullanılarak İstanbul Anadolu yakasında alternatif katı atık depo alanı seçimi

Abstract

Katı atıkların neden olduğu çevre kirliliğini kontrol altına alabilmek için uygun şekilde depolanmaları gerekmektedir. Katı atık bertaraf yöntemleri arasında, güvenli ve ekonomik olması nedeniyle en yaygın olarak kullanılan yöntem düzenli depolama yöntemidir. Düzenli depolama yöntemine göre en önemli unsur atık depolanacak en uygun yerin belirlenmesi aşamasıdır. Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS), katı atık depolama alanlarının yer seçiminde, karar destek aracı olarak önemli rol oynamaktadır. CBS’ nin depolama alanları yer seçiminde kullanılması, daha hızlı ve daha güvenilir sonuca ulaşma olanağı sağlar. Bu çalışmada İstanbul ili Anadolu Yakası’nda seçilen iki çalışma alanında, katı atık depo alanı yer seçimine yönelik uyulması gereken esaslardan uygulanan kriterlere göre Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri kullanılarak alternatif katı atık depo alanları belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

To control environmental pollution caused by solid waste, it needs to be stored appropriately. Of solid waste disposal methods, the most widely used is the method of landfills as it is both safe and economical. In the landfill method, the most important aspect is identifying the most appropriate location for the landfill. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) play an important role as a decision support tool in the selection of solid waste storage areas. The use of GIS in the selection of storage areas provides for faster and more reliable results. The aim of this study was to determine alternative solid waste storage areas using Geographic Information Systems by applying the principles used to determined solid waste storage areas as criteria in the two areas selected on the Asian Side of Istanbul Province as part of this study.
