Raylı toplu taşıma sistemlerinin Hatay İli Antakya İlçesi için incelenmesi

Abstract

Sanayide yaşanan olumlu gelişmeler, sınır şehri olması ve yaşam şartlarının kolaylığının beraberinde getirdiği göçler, özel araç sayısının fazlalığı ve hızlı kentleşme ulaşım sorununu; gelişmekte olan birçok kentte olduğu gibi Hatay’ın da en önemli sorunlarından biri haline getirmiştir. Yoğun olarak kuzey- güney yönünde kentsel gelişme gösteren Hatay, son yıllarda nüfus yoğunluğu ve arazi darlığı gibi ana nedenlerden ötürü doğu-batı yönünde de hızlı bir gelişme göstermiştir. Doğu-batı aksında hızlı bir gelişim görülmesine rağmen, genel ulaşımda kent merkezi odaklı ve çevre ilçelerden merkeze doğru oluşan yolculukların büyük bir kısmı kuzey-güney yönünde belli akslarda yoğunlaşmıştır. Tez çalışması kapsamında ele alınacak olan raylı toplu taşıma sistemlerinin, nüfus ve araç yoğunluğu yüksek olan Antakya ilçesinin ulaştırma sorunlarına alternatif çözümlerden biri olabileceği öngörülmektedir. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, çalışmanın amacı ile Hatay’a ait genel bilgilerin ardından kentiçi ulaşım sisteminin mevcut durumuna ait bilgiler sunulmuş olup ikinci bölümünde ülkemizden ve dünyadan örnekler verilerek uygun model için öngörüler oluşturulmuş, sonuç ve öneriler sunulmuştur.

The positive improvements in industry, outcomes of being a border city, migrations as a result of easy living standarts, the increasing number of private cars and rapid urbanization resulted in transportation problem in Hatay as happens in the other cities which are improving. Hatay, which has mostly urbanized in the southern and eastern direction, has lately been urbanized in the eastern and western direction as a result of high population and shortage of land. Although there is a rapid improvement in the eastern and western direction, in general, transportation is centred in the city centre and specific axis on the North and South direction. The public rail transportation which will be held in the context of this thesis is presented as one of the alternative solutions to the transportation problem of Hatay’s district Antioch which has a high population and private car rate. In the first part of the thesis, the aim of the work, general information about Hatay and present situation of urban transportation have been given. In the second part, after the examples from abroad and Turkey, provisions for the proper model have been formed and the outcomes and suggestions have been presented.
