A male patient who developed thrombocytopenia during the treatment of tinea versicolor by itraconazole is reported in this manuscript. He was diagnosed to develop thrombocytopenia on the third day of treatment. In the literature, there are two reports of itraconazole-induced thrombocytopenia both in malignancy patients. One report contained three patients who developed thrombocytopenia as a result of a drug interaction between bortezomib and itraconazole. The other report contained a patient who developed thrombocytopenia following six weeks of treatment with itraconazole. It is hypothesized by the author of this manuscript that this patient’s thrombocytopenia developed as a result of selective bone marrow suppression which is brought about by itraconazole’s effect on megakaryocytes. © 2017 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.Publication Metadata only May dermal fillers be an effective application in correcting lip asymmetries?, Dudak asimetrisinin düzeltilmesinde dolgu etkili bir uygulama olabilir mi?(Istanbul Assoc. of Dermatology and Venerology, 2018) Serdar, Zehra Aşiran; Karabay, Ezgi Aktaş; Serdar, Zehra Aşiran, Faculty of Medicine, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi, Istanbul, Turkey; Karabay, Ezgi Aktaş, Faculty of Medicine, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi, Istanbul, Turkey[No abstract available]Publication Open Access A rare cause and complication of acute gastric dilatation: Superior mesenteric artery syndrome and perforation(AVES Ibrahim Kara 105/9 Buyukdere Cad Mecidiyekoy,Sisli, Istanbul 34394, 2018) Demir, Mustafa Kemal; Cevher, Tarik; Demir, Mustafa Kemal, Department of Radiology, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi, Istanbul, Turkey; Cevher, Tarik, Department of General Surgery, Medical Park Hospital, Bursa, Turkey[No abstract available]Publication Open Access Chiropractic in Global Health and wellbeing: A white paper describing the public health agenda of the World Federation of Chiropractic(BioMed Central Ltd. Three topics within public health have been identified that call for a renewed professional focus. These include healthy ageing, opioid misuse, and women's, children's, and adolescents' health. The World Federation of Chiropractic aims to enable chiropractors to proactively participate in health promotion and prevention activities in these areas, through information dissemination and coordinated partnerships. Importantly, this work will align the chiropractic profession with the priorities of the World Health Organization. Successful engagement will support the role of chiropractors as valued partners within the broader healthcare system and contribute to the health and wellbeing of the communities they serve. © 2018 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.Publication Metadata only Skopje's transitions and the city's struggle to preserve collective memories, Premeny mesta skopje a jeho boj o zachovanie kolektívnych spomienok(Slovak Academy of Sciences, Institute of History, 2019) Ivkovska, Velika; Orlandi, Luca; Ivkovska, Velika, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi, Istanbul, Turkey; Orlandi, Luca, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Özyeğin Üniversitesi, Istanbul, Turkey[No abstract available]
