A numerical study is presented for the diffusion problem having singular source terms. The singular source terms are defined by a Dirac delta function. The standard finite volume approach is applied for spatial discretization. Numerical example is included. © 2012 American Institute of Physics. © 2013 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
