Abstract
It is necessary for enterprises to design, apply and permanently develop their supply chains and model types related to them in order to fortify their competitive positions at our current period where the lifecycle of product is shortened, global competition and customer demands increased and innovative information and communication technologies developed. The Supply Chain Council created the Supply Chain Operational Reference Model(SCOR) as standard between industries for supply cahin management in 1996. The SCOR model that is based on the definition, measurement and permanent development of supply chain management helps the managers cope with any confusion at the supply chain as a whole and allow the same to make decisions at strategic level. The definition of the model and its comprehensive methodology are emphasized at the study and the reflection of the use of SCOR in Turkey is shown by taking the sample firm applying the model as basis.
