    There are many developments about the transportation issue at these days and as well economical and technological improvements constantly occur. The number of personal vehicles increases day by day because of improved technology, increasing of purchasing power and transport flexibility. And this situation causes traffic jam and car park requirement. It is luxury to park at lands -especially in Istanbul because of very expensive land prices- and parking on the road increases traffic jam much. So modern and organized car parks which responds the driver’s requests became a requirement in the light of all these factors. Parking garages should be evaluated best between car parks and other park systems in terms of environmental aspects. It is not possible to estimate which level can reach unburned exhaust gasses and particles is emitted from the exhaust-gas systems of engines which fossil fuels are burned in them. Empirical methods also won’t reflect the facts. Because the emission value in the environment can be changed by a lot of factors including ventilation of the environment and type of the vehicle. Based on this, the results got by measuring SO2, NO2, CO, O3, PM10 air pollutant parameters in the environment is compared with national and international boundary values and is determined which pollutants over limits and air quality index is evaluated in this study. It is tried to determine measures should be taken about indoor places have ingoing and outgoing traffic by explaining how can determinated high concentration pollutants pose risks for the human health based on the data in this study.
