Item Directors of Turkish film industry who are against the culture industry and a mockumentary project(Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, 2013-06) Reggio, Oben; Büker, ErkanThis study’s main aim is to analyze the relationship between culture industry and Turkish cinema industry between 1960’s and 1980’s, which is called Yeşilçam. Especially five Turkish directors Ö. Lütfi Akad, Metin Erksan, Atıf Yılmaz, Halit Refiğ and Yılmaz Güney had been examined for this analyze. These directors have been chosen because of their desire and belief to make films apart from the culture industry of Turkish Cinema. All of these directors had made their most important films between 1960 and 1980, while the Yeşilçam have been living its most successful but most restrict years. Mockumentary can be called fictional documentary, which is usualy deal with unrealistic events, fictional characters in a serious way or real events in a funny way. Mockumentary’s historical process will be analyzed and then the project; “Director: Mehmet Köse” will be examined. Mockumentary project; Director: Mehmet Köse has been created from these five Turkish directors life’s and Mehmet Köse has been created as an independent director who had stand against all Turkish cinema industry between 1960’s and 1980’s to make his own films apart from the industry but eventually had became unsuccessful and had been forgotten.
