Belief propagation decoding of some decomposable linear block codes

Abstract

We implement the Belief Propagation Algorithm onto some decomposable linear block codes and obtain bit error rate performances for some of the decomposable codes over Additive White Gaussian Noise channel. A comparison between the Belief Propagation Algorithm and the Viterbi Algorithm is also performed with respect to the obtained error performances. ©2005 IEEE. © 2008 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
