Abstract
Digital transformation has caused a radical organizational change in the tourism industry in every sector, transforming and accelerating both business processes and strategies, customer interaction, and marketing of tourism products. At this point, it seems critical to answer questions such as which outputs the elements that will give organizations a competitive advantage and how to produce them, which practices are important, and why. The research aims to reveal the impact roles of digitalization on the tourism sector. For this purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with experts in qualitative analysis management. The data obtained as a result of the interviews were conceptually coded for content analysis. After the coding, the data were analyzed using the Maxqda 21 program. According to the findings obtained from this analysis, the most important feature of the tourism sector in the digitalization process is that it creates a competitive advantage by providing access to a systematic integration network. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
