Abstract
Theatre has developed as an art form based on live performance since ancient times. The dynamic structure of the theater in front of the audience creates classical theatrical forms. Theater art, which has undergone avant-garde, post-avant-garde, post-modern and para-theatrical transformations in the 21st century, is also undergoing a digital metamorphosis today. The meeting of digital arts with the art of theater leads to the development of new expression possibilities on the stage. In this chapter, the relationship between theatricality and digitality will be examined in depth in terms of theoretical and aesthetic rhetoric. Based on the important references to the digitalization of theater in the world, the performance analysis of selected digital-theatrical applications will also be examined as a model. It will be an innovative approach to combine the digi-theatrical artistic products used in all genres of performing arts with performance analysis, which tools they use, and how they transform the stage. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
