dc.description.abstractÇalışmada Türk dünyasının yükselen iki ülkesi Kazakistan ve Türkiye, vatandaşlarının genel sağlık durumları ile sağlık sektörleri bakımından kıyaslamalı olarak incelenmekte ve Kazakistan’dan Türkiye’ye doğru gerçekleşmekte olan sağlık turizmi alanındaki potansiyeller ekonomik yöntemle ortaya konulmaktadır. Kazakistan’dan Türkiye’ye gelebilecek sağlık turisti sayısı ve bu turizmden elde edilebilecek gelir, farklı senaryolar altında projekte edilmektedir. Dünya Sağlık Örgütü istatistiklerine göre her yıl ortalama %12 oranında büyüyen Kazakistan’dan yurt dışına giden sağlık turizmi pazarından, Türkiye, TUİK’e göre, yaklaşık %3,2 pay almaktadır. Makalenin özgün bulgusu, Türkiye’nin Kazakistan sağlık turizmi pazarından aldığı payı yükselttiği durumda ne kadar ek gelir ve ek katma değer oluşturabileceğinin lojistik (S şekilli) büyüme fonksiyonu ile hesaplanmasıdır. Sağlık turizmi Türk ekonomisi için öncelikli alanlardan biridir ve hızla gelişme göstermektedir. Bu öncelikli alanda, Kazakistan pazarına yönelik etkin tanıtım ve pazarlama faaliyetleri ile başlatabilecek eksponansiyel bir büyümeyle, 2030 yılına kadar toplamda, 3 milyar dolar direkt gelir ile GSYH’ye ek 6 milyar dolara yakın katkı sağlanabileceği hesaplanmıştır.
