Abstract

Indium sulfide (In<inf>2</inf>S<inf>3</inf>) nanostructure is synthesized using chemical bath deposition (CBD) method, and doped by transition metals like Ag and Cu. The transition metal-doping effect on physical properties are analyzed and characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), UV-vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL), respectively. Prepared In<inf>2</inf>S<inf>3</inf> is amorphous and the doping leads to shift peaks to lower angles. Topography is changed completely. Optical properties and particle size are investigated. Specific models are employed to calculate refractive index (n) and optical dielectric constant (ϵ <inf>∞</inf>). The obtained results agree with other data. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
