Abstract
Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the decision-making methods that has been used frequently for many years in both literature and real-life applications. The method is based on comparison matrices and provides an advantage over many other decision-making methods due to its easy application. In this chapter, the AHP method is integrated with picture fuzzy sets. The developed method is demonstrated on a make-or-buy decision analysis example. Comparison analysis with crisp numbers and sensitivity analysis are presented. The consistency problem encountered in the method is discussed in detail and why the consistency ratio used in the consistency measurement of the picture fuzzy AHP does not give successful results is explained with examples. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
