This review attempts to provide a comprehensive investigation of the complex argument that socioeconomic conditions and crime are related through political instabilities and their impact on Turkey's economy, with a specific focus on social disorganization theory. By focusing on the Turkish labor market, this study examines the interplay of socioeconomic factors impacting crime rates and changing public views. This review highlights social disorganization and crime patterns via socioeconomic factors, migration, and political upheaval. By exploring the transformation of Turkey's labor market over many decades, this study aims to provide insights into the ongoing issues of the country. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
