Abstract

Information warfare is the activities and operations of a state for an advanced position in terms of information against a host state or its military forces. Information is collected through different methods such as electronic warfare. Electronic warfare is a set of activities using electromagnetic spectrum in favor of the host and to prevent the usage of the spectrum in favor of the opponents. This study aims to analyze the usage of data sets gathered through electronic warfare in cases of determining regions where target elements are concentrated through application of DBSCAN and K-Means algorithms. Upon the hypothesis that time series analysis techniques will reveal the coordinates of the opponent forces to be located according to communication frequency. Finally, through investigation of statistical data, a research is made to reach important information such as commonly used frequencies, frequency of interviews, route maps, and displacement measures. These analyses help to the planning of operational activities, exploration and surveillance activities, armed and unarmed unmanned aerial activities and shooting activities to be carried out by artillery units. © 2019 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
