dc.description.abstractAbdominal masaj, konstipasyon yönetiminde yer alan, hemşireler tarafından uygulanan, güvenli,invaziv olmayan ve yan etkisi olmayan nonfarmakolojik bir yöntemdir. Abdominal masaj, karın duvarı üzerindenbağırsakların bulunduğu bölgeye saat yönünde eflöraj (sıvazlama), petrisaj (yoğurma) ve vibrasyon (titreşim)manevralarının uygulanması sonucu bağırsak hareketlerini uyarmaktadır. Bu derlemede, özellikle son yıllardakonstipasyon yönetiminde etkin bir yöntem olan abdominal masajın, en önemli bağımsız bir hemşirelik girişimiolduğunu vurgulamak ve önemini ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır.
